THE PROBLEM

Global Blood Shortage

A handheld autotransfusion device that enables clinicians to salvage, filter, and recycle blood from patients with internal bleeding. There is a 100 million unit deficit of donor blood around the world. This means when clinicians reach for a unit of blood, it is often not there.

THE SOLUTION

Donate Blood To Yourself

Hemafuse increases access to blood by enabling clinicians to capture a patient’s blood, filter it, and return fresh, whole blood back to that same patient. Hemafuse provides immediate access to blood transfusion across trauma, obstetric, general, and orthopedic surgeries with internal bleeding.

What our Clinicians are Saying

"Blood is a matter of life and death. Hemafuse should be part of the essential medical devices in each hospital.”

DR. ELIZABETH WALA

PROGRAMME DIRECTOR FOR HEALTH SYSTEMS STRENGTHENING AT AMREF HEALTH AFRICA IN KENYA

“You collect blood using a very special, innovative device called Hemafuse, then you give back the patient either immediately intra as you’re doing the surgery or you can give it even later after the surgery, so it is autotransfusion. Basically now, the Hemafuse device is what is used to make this process possible.”
