Sr. Training Consultant - Kenya
Dr. Asma is an International Public Health Specialist with a background in infectious disease, surveillance and intelligence. She has an extensive history bringing new and innovative products and ideas to market as part of the training team. Additionally, she has taken a stand within her role in the Ministry of Health to promote ethical and high quality care for patients across Kenya.
She is a Trainer of Trainers in NCDs, EMR-NCDs, Malaria Case Management, Tuberculosis & Leprosy Case Management, in addition to being the Lead Trainer on the Hemafuse System and IGAD Regional Training of Trainers on Post-Disaster Need Assessment-Disaster Recovery Framework (PDNA-DRF TOTs). She is the Medical Officer of Health in Westlands Sub-County, the Team Lead for the Covid-19 rapid response team in Westlands, and a trainer in Covid-19 with both Nairobi Metropolitan Service and Ministry of Health.
Dr. Asma Awadh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from University of Nairobi, a Master’s degree in International Public Health, and a Master’s in Health Management from The University of New South Wales, Sydney, as well as a certificate in Clinical Management of HIV from University of Washington.
