BALTIMORE,, Maryland November 2019 — The Sisu Global team is on the move this month. Sisu was represented at four conferences in four different countries in the span of two weeks.
On the first of the month, our Senior Product and Training Specialist, Tim Goodwin, was present at Grand Challenges that took place in the UN Conference Center in Addis Ababa. Here he heard from world leaders like Ethiopian President, Sahle-Work Zewde, on Ethiopia's commitment to expanding the opportunities for women in education, specifically in the STEM field.
On November 5, our CTO, Gillian Henker, travelled to the Netherlands to speak at the largest impact and innovation meetup in Europe. ImpactFest brings together the innovators and entrepreneurs of the world to discuss today’s biggest challenges. The goal of this conference is to demonstrate that innovation, impact, and economic success all go hand in hand. At Sisu global we hold this same belief and strive to prove that you can do good in the world and do well as a company by providing better than expected margins in developing economies.
Later that week, our CEO Carolyn presented in Japan at the 6th annual United States Japan Medtech Frontiers Tokyo Symposium. A conference aimed at promoting medical device and healthcare innovation through US-Japanese collaboration. Sisu was one of several emerging med device startups present to discuss innovation and corporate strategy for medtech companies. She then traveled to China to represent Sisu as an RESI Innovation Challenge Finalist and Panelist.
Sisu is currently in the process of expanding our product portfolio and into new markets.
